The focus of British Literature is to expose students to the rich literary traditions exemplified by British writers throughout history. Studying various genres—poetry, plays, and novels—this class will center on learning through engaging classroom discussion and practicing critical writing skills.
The class text, The Gold Book: British Literature, is designed to encourage the high school student's ability to read and understand literature, develop the ability for verbal and written expression, enable him/her to interpret and access literary meaning in terms of content and philosophy, and clearly state a position in response.
Textbook and Other Materials: Tutor will provide supply list and literature list upon registration.
