English Mastery provides instruction that encourages students to grow more confident and independent in tackling academic and creative writing models, along with sophisticated style techniques, sentence structure, and vocabulary.
Grammar, punctuation, and editing skills will be reinforced, in class, in the context of student’s writing, and in weekly editing passages that prepare students for the English portion of the ACT.
Along with writing and grammar instruction, students will read a variety of literary selections and learn to respond using the more creative writing models such as literature summaries, literary critiques, and guided literary prompts.
