Spotlight!

Grades K–5

A full-day, Bible-centered experience every Thursday — where elementary students explore God's world through theme-based learning, hands-on discovery, and a community that feels like family.

Elementary Years Are Made for Wonder

The early years of education are some of the most formative a child will ever have. This is when curiosity is ignited, love of learning takes root, and the most fundamental beliefs about God, people, and the world begin to take shape. Spotlight! was designed to make the most of every one of those years.

Rather than a traditional classroom model, Spotlight! uses a thematic, Bible-centered approach that weaves together Scripture, history, science, and creative projects into a cohesive, meaningful experience. Students don't just learn facts — they discover connections, ask big questions, and grow in their understanding of who God is and how He works in the world.

With small class sizes and a community atmosphere that children look forward to every week, Spotlight! gives your child something rare: a place where they are truly known, genuinely engaged, and growing in faith.

Teachers Who Love Your Child

Spotlight! tutors are warm, experienced, and deeply committed to the children they teach. They bring creativity and energy to every Thursday, and they understand that in the elementary years, how a child feels about learning matters just as much as what they learn.

Biblical Foundation

Our tutors don't just include Bible verses — they build every lesson from a biblical foundation, helping children see that Scripture speaks to all of life, not just Sunday mornings.

Creative Teaching

Elementary students learn through doing. Spotlight! tutors design hands-on projects, interactive experiments, and creative activities that make abstract concepts come alive.

Genuine Care

In a small group setting, tutors have the ability to notice each child — their personality, their needs, their gifts — and create an environment where every student feels seen and valued.

"At The Bridge, where your child is known, faith grows, and learning thrives."

Learning Through Theme

Spotlight! uses a grade-grouped, theme-based curriculum that meets students exactly where they are developmentally. Rather than isolated subjects, each group explores an overarching theme that ties Bible, history, science, and creative projects together into a unified, memorable experience.

Grades K–1

Faith & Discovery through Nature and Story

The youngest learners explore God's Word and creation through Bible stories, nature study, and hands-on creative projects. Every lesson is designed to spark curiosity, delight, and a growing sense of wonder at the God who made all things.

Grades 2–3

Exploration of Bible, Science, and Geography

Students begin connecting their faith to the broader world through the New Testament, U.S. history, hands-on science experiments, and interactive STEM projects. Learning deepens as students start seeing how God's hand is at work in history and creation.

Grades 4–5

Bible, History, and Creation in Action

Older elementary students are challenged to think more deeply as they develop a biblical worldview through the lens of world history, missions, geography, and science ecosystems. Students begin to see themselves as participants in God's unfolding story.

A Note for Families: Spotlight! focuses on Bible, history, science, and thematic projects. Parents are encouraged to provide grade-appropriate English/Phonics and Mathematics at home, giving each family the flexibility to use the curriculum that works best for them.

What Your Child Will Carry Forward

Spotlight! is about more than content. It shapes the way children think, relate, and believe — forming habits of heart and mind that will serve them for a lifetime.

Love of learning

Hands-on, theme-based learning keeps students engaged and helps them associate education with excitement, creativity, and discovery.

Biblical worldview

Students gradually build a framework for understanding the world through Scripture — learning to see history, science, and relationships in light of God's truth.

Creative expression

Projects, crafts, and hands-on activities give students an outlet to create, imagine, and express what they're learning in meaningful ways.

Community & belonging

Weekly group learning builds lasting friendships and teaches children how to collaborate, listen, and care for others in a safe, Christ-centered environment.

Wonder & curiosity

By studying creation, history, and God's Word together, students are encouraged to ask big questions and delight in the complexity of the world God made.

Christian character

Kindness, humility, and integrity are woven into every Thursday — modeled by tutors and cultivated in the daily rhythms of Spotlight! community life.
