Linda Avery

Linda Avery

Director

Linda is a homeschool veteran of 29 years and a foundational leader at The Bridge Tutorial, where she serves as Director. She has been part of The Bridge community for over 18 years, helping shape its vision, culture, and commitment to academic excellence and Christ-centered learning. Her leadership reflects both deep experience and a genuine love for families navigating the homeschool journey.

With a degree in Electrical Engineering, Linda brings both analytical precision and practical wisdom to the classroom. She has a particular passion for teaching math and physics, helping students not only understand complex concepts but grow in confidence as problem solvers and critical thinkers. Her engineering background strengthens her ability to connect abstract principles to real-world application.

Linda has homeschooled all 10 of her children from pre-K through 12th grade, giving her a unique perspective on long-term academic planning, developmental stages, and the rhythms of family life. She understands firsthand the joys and challenges of homeschooling and delights in encouraging other parents along the way.

Outside of teaching and leadership, Linda enjoys traveling, spending time with her children and grandbabies, cooking for family and friends, hosting (large!) gatherings, and savoring a really good cup of coffee.
