Studio Art is designed for students in grades 9-12. This course provides students with an opportunity to develop skills, learn new concepts, express themselves creatively through various mediums, and study Art History. Composition, technique, the elements and principles of design, and attention-to-detail are explored.
Projects are turned in for evaluation and grading as required for a HS credit. Throughout this course, students will keep a sketchbook and develop an art portfolio featuring selected works of art which will be displayed in a spring art exhibition.
